A Dream on the Water
These repeat clients found their dream home on the water. As empty nesters now retired, they wanted a home in which they could entertain and live it up! To accomplish this, the existing bungalow required a complete renovation. The result is a stunning, luxurious home.
The original home was a maze of rooms that cut out any clear view of the water. The whole home was repartitioned in order to have a full view of the water starting at the front entrance.
The main floor is a complete open concept with the exception of the primary bedroom and the grandchildren’s playroom. The kitchen, dining and great rooms are completely open showcasing a fantastic view of the lake.
The basement houses the office, guest rooms, gym, laundry and craft rooms.
The home is full of unique and interesting features such as a custom breakfast bench in the kitchen and laser-cut stone backsplash. In the great room, you can find ceiling detail and a custom bar area. In the hallway, a natural stone wall adjacent to open riser stairs with glass railing creates a stunning effect. Finally, the front foyer features a tufted fabric wall!
While new custom furniture and drapery were included, favourite pieces from their previous home were integrated into the new vision.
The bright white paint colour, contrasting with the warm wood tones and bright flooring create a clean and striking space.
This retirement home will welcome many guests and will be enjoyed for years to come!
